Local home prices, sales up in September

After several months of increased home prices and sales, the evidence is mounting that a gradual recovery is under way in the Pikes Peak region’s resale market. The median price of single-family homes sold in September rose to $194,000 – 3.6% higher than the same month last year, according to the PPAR. It was the 7th straight year-over-year increase in monthly prices. Home sales, meanwhile, totaled 773 in September – a 15% jump over the same time last year.
